Dr. Patrick Safo is Board certified in Dermatology and Mohs Micrographic Surgery. He provides comprehensive dermatologic care that encompasses general dermatology, pediatric, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. He is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology .
Dr. Safo completed his undergraduate training with a BSc degree in Chemistry and Pharmacology from Stony Brook University in New York. He obtained both an MD and PhD training from Harvard Medical School in Boston and transitioned to Johns Hopkins Bayview center for his internship training. His dermatology residency was completed at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He practiced comprehensive dermatology in Central Wisconsin for more than nine years, in addition to intermittently lecturing at the Central Wisconsin campus of the Medical College of Wisconsin.
Besides Dermatology, Dr. Safo enjoys spending time with the family, playing soccer, table tennis, squash or traveling.
Crystal Oberle is a Certified Physician Assistant who was born and raised in the Siouxland area being from Ida Grove, IA. She attended the University of South Dakota and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, while competing for the Coyotes in Track and Field. She obtained her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies from Wichita State University and had the privilege to move back to Siouxland where she has been practicing dermatology for the last eight years. You may also see her face at a few urgent care clinics in the area.
She treats patients of all ages with psoriasis, warts, eczema, skin cancers, acne and any other skin, hair and nail conditions.
She and her husband, Ben, have three children, two dogs and a fish. They enjoy traveling and spending time at the lake with family when they are not at various sporting events for their kids.
She currently holds licenses in Iowa, South Dakota and Nebraska.
Emily Kruse is a certified Physician Assistant with 5 years of experience in Dermatology. She graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health Nutrition and a secondary major is Gerontology.
She earned her Master of Physician Assistant degree from Wichita State University. Emily has a passion for Dermatology and helping patients.
When she isn't in the clinic, she is enjoying time with her husband and 2 children, Jace and Charlotte. As a family, they spend countless hours at the park and many weekends traveling to Kansas to visit family.
Indy Chabra, MD, PhD, is a Board-certified Dermatologist, and also Board-certified in Mohs Micrographic Surgery for skin cancers. He is a Fellow of the American Society for Mohs Surgery, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. His mission is to provide the best Dermatology patient care possible – with excellence in access, quality, and integrity. Dr. Chabra practiced Dermatology for 10-years at Midlands Clinic Dermatology, where he served Siouxland patients in Iowa, Nebraska and South Dakota. Specifically, he practiced Dermatology in Dakota Dunes and Vermillion, South Dakota, Sioux City, Sioux Center, Ida Grove, and Onawa, Iowa, as well as in Pender and Wayne, Nebraska. Hospital associations include Unity-Point St. Luke’s, Mercy One, Sanford Vermillion, Sioux Center Health, Horn Memorial, Burgess, Pender Hospital, and Providence Medical Center. Dr. Chabra is committed to caring for both pediatric and adult patients for all their medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology needs. He is passionate about providing easier and faster access to dermatologic care in both outpatient and inpatient settings, in coordination with the primary care team and other specialists. Teaching, clinical research and teledermatology are some of Dr. Chabra’s other interests. Dr. Chabra graduated from Stanford University with a BS in Chemistry and Biological Sciences, and an AB in Economics. He obtained his MD and PhD degrees from Stony Brook University. His PhD is in Microbiology and Genetics, and his research work focused on developing novel viral vectors for gene therapy. Dr. Chabra completed his Dermatology residency at UPMC, Pittsburgh, where he received extensive training in Pediatric Dermatology at both outpatient clinics, and at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. At UPMC, Dr. Chabra also received extensive training in Mohs surgery through various surgical clinics. In Pittsburgh, Dr. Chabra also worked with Dr. Suzan Obagi in Cosmetic Dermatology. Dr. Chabra grew up on Long Island, NY. He enjoys playing tennis and spending time with family and friends.
